Mistline collects zero data. No accounts, no analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no network requests. Everything stays on your Mac.
Mistline reads your local file system to display your project's file tree, previews, and activity. This data is processed entirely on your machine and is never transmitted anywhere.
Specifically, Mistline accesses:
Mistline stores the following data locally on your Mac:
~/.mistline/settings.json)~/.mistline/mistline.db).mistline/annotations.json inside each project).mistline/ghost-dismissed.json)All of this data is stored in plain text or SQLite on your local file system. None of it is encrypted because none of it leaves your machine.
Mistline itself makes no network requests. However, your purchase is processed through Polar.sh, which handles payment processing and license delivery. Polar.sh has its own privacy policy.
If Mistline ever adds features that change this policy (such as auto-update checks or optional telemetry), this page will be updated and you will be notified before any data collection begins.
