Customer success leader by profession, indie software builder after hours. Based in San Diego.
I've always been into software. Not in the sense of writing compilers as a kid, but more like happily rebuilding my workflow several times just to save a few seconds. In my day job, I lead customer success at a software company. That means I use the same mindset to help others: find out what's slowing them down and fix it.
When AI coding tools like Claude Code showed up on my Mac, they were both amazing and chaotic. They created files faster than I could keep up. Sometimes, they changed things I never asked them to. After a session, I often had no idea what had changed on my computer. The terminal output flew by, the differences were hidden, and I started to lose track of my own project.
I wanted a way to see what was going on. I didn't want a new editor or another chat interface. I wanted something that worked alongside my usual tools and clearly showed every file my AI was creating, changing, or leaving behind in real time. When I couldn't find anything like that, I decided to build it myself. That's how Mistline started.
Mistline works on your computer. It doesn't collect usage info, run analytics, or act as a lead-in for a bigger SaaS product — your files and project data never leave your Mac. It's a Mac app that I plan to keep improving for a long time. To make that possible, I'm charging a fair one-time price, offering free updates through version 1.x, and treating early customers with real respect. If something isn't working, I want to hear from you directly, not through a support system.
It's just me behind Mistline. One person, one app, no investors, and no team. This means Mistline develops at the pace I can manage between work, family, and sleep. But it also means I make every decision about the product, and every email you send goes straight to the person who writes the code.
Questions, bug reports, feature ideas, or just hello: hello@mistline.app. I read and reply to everything, usually within 24 hours.
